Diabetic supplies allowed on airplanes?

Okay, I’m a diabetic flying for my first time tomorrow morning and need a little advice on how to pack my syringes and short needles for my insulin pens. I assume they would be allowed in a checked bag, but I’m afraid my luggage might get lost. How do diabetics do this?

You should be able to bring all your medications and associated gear in your carry-on baggage. It’s a good idea to keep the meds in the original containers with the prescription labels attached, just in case there’s any questions.
