What should I do with my tattoo?

I would like to get a tattoo for my grandpa’s. They both served in the navy during world war two. My idea was to get two waving flags, both of their heritage, and cross their flag poles. underneath that i was thinking about getting a a naval destroyer and an airplane with the airplane flying over the ship. then underneath that get their names written in cursive. Another idea was to get something along the lines of

and change it a little bit. But i don’t know if i should stay away from navy tattoos such as these because i did not serve in the navy so i do not want people to think down upon me for having a navy tattoo. You have to earn those and i wouldn’t feel right. any suggestions, comments or anything? and do you know any websites that can help me design a tattoo? thank you

Go to a reputable artist and your area and kindly ask them to draw a design for you. Generally, if you’re getting the tattoo done there they will either do it for free or for a small fee. They are artists, they’re supposed to be extremely good at this! My Dad brought his father’s flight wings to his artist, he drew it up, and they both tweaked it to my dad’s liking.

Remember, if you don’t like the design they draw you can ALWAYS ask them to change it. You two can come up with great ideas together.

Happy tattooing.
